Modern Manners is a consulting firm that helps
children, teens, and young adults develop social and dining
skills. We have a deep commitment for quality instruction
along with personal customer support. The mission of Modern
Manners is to build social skills that will last a lifetime - skills
that will develop self-confidence, build self-esteem, and encourage
respect for others.
About the Founder
Christine Chen is the founder and
director of Modern Manners. She has been
conducting programs for private and public schools,
teaching workshops, and privately tutoring since
1996. She has also lectured at teacher
conventions and to parent groups. She has been
featured in Families Magazines, The Gazette, and The
Washington Times. She has written etiquette
articles for several publications that have appeared
nationwide. Currently, she is producing a series of etiquette
videos for children and teens. The first in
this series, The
Contest, is now available.
She received training and
certification from The Protocol School of
Washington. She is also a graduate from Cappa
Chell Fashion and Modeling School.
She lives in Maryland with
her husband and three
